Joanna is a Jazz vocalist with a voracity for exploring the boundaries of the human voice.

She has performed for various festivals including the Mosaic Music Festival, Da:ns Festival, Baybeats, and Flipside. Strongly bilingual, Joanna has a passion for sharing the love for Jazz with mandarin-speaking audiences. Other cross-genre collaborations include working with Frontal Labs (DJ collective), Robosonic (German DJ duo), Gamelan Asmaradana (Gamelan Ensemble), SonicBrat (Sound Artist).

In 2008, Joanna was awarded Best Supporting Actress for ST Life! Theatre Awards for her role in local mandarin musical hit If There’re Seasons... Other theatre credits include The Soldier and His Virtuous Wife, Do Not Disturb – Late Checkout Please (Real Actors), Liao Zhai Rocks! and 881 The Musical. She made her film debut this year playing a quirky lovestruck stalker in local movie Forever.
